Things You Need to Know for Your Glamourous Christmas Themed Wedding

If you love Christmas and you feel so in love and have plans of tying the knot soon, don’t you think combining the two can be a great idea? A Christmas wedding can be a terribly glamorous, cinematic and enchanting moment. You just have to pick the right elements in order to make your wedding a wonderland.

The Perfect Place for a Christmas Wedding

First, you have to decide on the number of guests that you should invite. It is going to be a big affair in the first place? If you want it big, you can set your Christmas themed wedding at a historic mansion or private club. You can work with a professional wedding planner in order to achieve the intimate look and warmth that you want. Be sure to ask what seasonal decorations the club uses. Some sites look “Christmas” already. You may also consider old churches and bear in mind that some can be drafty.

Some Winter Touches on the Menu

This is another exciting part of your Christmas-themed wedding. Make the menu more interesting by including some winter touches like a squash dish or warm pumpkin soup. Hot chocolates are very Christmas-like too. For your cake, look for an all-white cake, ornamented with snowflake patterns, silver embellishments, or sugar sculptures. You’ll feel delighted to see it on your wedding photography soon!

The Flowers

Reds, greens and silvers are the colors of Christmas. Decide whether you want to go for a silver and white elegant look or make your moment festive with reds and greens. Dusty miller, silver-dollar eucalyptus, and baby blue eucalyptus, mixed with white flowers such as roses, football mums, crocus, lilies and stephanotis are perfect for an elegant look. On the other hand, red roses with holly and pine-tree greenery will be perfect for the later.

A Christmas Wedding Dress

You do not have to be too colorful on this. Wear the one that flatters your shape most and top it off with a long red velvet cape. You may also add a beautiful red silk sash to the waist of your gown to make it prettier. And of course, don’t forget to include the faux-fur wrap and muff.

Your Wedding Photographer

How about a Santa costume for your wedding photographer? You can speak to him and his team beforehand about their wedding photography packages and if they are willing to participate in your Christmas themed wedding.
